Outstanding Employee of the Year Interview - Li Zhibin 


On Zealwe Tech's customer list, we often see the same signature - Zhibin Li - in the equipment acceptance reports of the National Photovoltaic Laboratory's Luoyang Center, TTL Lab in Jiaxing, Hefei Datang and other companies.

What is the key for this engineer, who traveled 287 days throughout the year, to win the title of Outstanding Employee of the Year?


1. Shorten the project cycle by 30% = 26 days ahead of schedule  


At the project site of the National Photovoltaic Laboratory Luoyang Center, Zhibin Li compressed the 119-item, nearly 200-unit equipment installation, relocation, secondary distribution construction, debugging, metering, and training acceptance period to 100 days. 26 days ahead of schedule to complete the total progress plan developed by the customer!

Comment: Professionalism is not only in technology, but also in turning “impossible” into “possible”.


2. overnight rush work for 8 hours, 6:00 a.m. to complete the equipment debugging!


In July 11, 2024 it was raining heavily, 3:00 p.m. received a notice, because the customer the next day there are important customers to come over to do witness testing. Considering the importance of this pickup debugging, in the company carefully prepared for the plan, Zhibin Li traveled in the rain, 3:00 at night to complete the mechanical load, hail and other equipment emergency positioning. 6 a.m. to complete the commissioning of the equipment, 9 a.m. customers successfully carried out visual inspection.


3. the annual cost optimization of 9.8% = indirectly increase revenue for customers more than 2 million.

From the European ultraviolet equipment commissioning project to save more than 30,000 costs, to Tyre 66 road cable procurement, “true” cable prices, multiple price comparison. Zhibin Li established a unique value formula: “save every penny, are customers next time to choose the reason for Zealwe Tech.”

Q: Zhi Bin, in the same office, I feel that you are a dragon in the head and not see the tail ah. As a business traveler, how do you make to maintain a high degree of professionalism for a long time, and constantly overcome the difficulties?


Li Zhibin: In the eyes of many colleagues, I feel that I am busy and hard work, in fact, I know that there are two points have been supporting me, so that I will not be afraid of encountering difficulties, not to mention tired, and that is: 

"the customer's needs as their own major events; the company's reputation as their mission.

For example, at the end of last year's European project, there was jet lag, the alarm clock was set to midnight, and the customer opened a video conference to docking equipment questions, freezing feet also have to sort out the project, because the customer can not afford to wait, the company's reputation can not afford to wait!


Q: In the execution of projects, you can try to shorten the duration, but also rely on technological innovation and process optimization to help the company save costs. Can you tell us specifically how you “brain” and “innovation”?


Li Zhibin: do after-sales, the hand must be diligent, the brain must be more diligent. For example, the light source box alarm system remodeling. Originally, each device alarm points have to be individually debugged, I unified with colleagues and designers of communication protocols and power modules, and now the new project software can be adapted to zero change. The customer side acceptance faster, production earlier, naturally more willing to give us the subsequent orders.

In my usual work, I always have a thought: can we continue to optimize even after we have reached this point? Think one more step, it makes a big difference.


Q: How do you balance “customer needs” and “company position”?


Li Zhibin: Customers want results, the company wants benefits, these two are not opposites, but a balance. Balance, is the “trust”: that is, we must first pull out the professional skills, to do a good job, the first to win the trust of customers.

Just like the last rainstorm overnight overtime work, it seems to lose manpower, but then the customer gave us the second and third phase, the value of word of mouth far exceeds the overtime pay that night.

Therefore, I understand the balance, is to take the challenge, as a “win-win” opportunity!


Q: What sustains you to keep up this work ethic? What are your expectations or goals for the future?


Li Zhibin: It's three words: love, perseverance and responsibility.

I have a strong interest and passion for my work, I am proud of what I do, and I believe that my efforts can bring about a positive impact, and this sense of responsibility and fulfillment is an important driving force, which motivates me to take the initiative to undertake, and continue to break through.

Not counting on doing more, and it is conscious and spontaneous to do more and think more.

In the future, with the accumulation of experience over time, I believe I will be able to grow into an excellent and even outstanding project manager and achieve more in my career.

Personally, I hope to become a more mature, confident and charismatic person, constantly challenging myself, surpassing myself and maximizing my personal value.






Interview with Liu Yuanyuan, 2024 Outstanding Employee of the Year: Writing an extraordinary story of advancement in an ordinary position 


Dao De Jing has a saying: “All difficult things under the sun must be done in an easy way, and all great things under the sun must be done in a detailed way.”

From optimizing the precision of wire cutting to leading the whole team to win the quarterly standard bearer; from patiently guiding newcomers to checking the production task list late at night ...... 

Liu Yuanyuan, with ten years of dedication to sharpening the sword, has made this ordinary to the utmost, and has shown us the spirit of craftsmanship.

Q: First of all, congratulations to Yuan Yuan for winning the honor of Zealwe Tech 2024 Outstanding Employee. We know that you often put forward process optimization suggestions in your work, and also lead the team to overcome difficulties together, is there any one improvement experience that impresses you deeply?


Liu Yuanyuan: When assembling a certain model of power supply last year, I found that the layout of the traditional alignment was loose, which might affect the stability of the product and the efficiency of the later maintenance. Combined with the team's practical experience, I proposed an improvement program of segmented bundling and key node fixing.

In order to verify the effect, my colleagues and I repeatedly tested and adjusted, and the final optimized process not only made the wiring more regular, but also reduced the rework rate.

What touched me even more was that my colleagues in the team fully cooperated with me in the improvement process, with some helping to organize the data and others taking the initiative to undertake additional testing tasks. This trust made me realize that professionalism is not only personal, but also belongs to teamwork.


Q: Colleagues say you are the “team leader”, what experience do you have in training newcomers and sharing experience, can you share it with us?

 Liu Yuanyuan: I have always felt that to bring up newcomers, we should not only teach them the operation steps, but also help them understand the principles. For example, disassembling the equipment and explaining the circuit direction and assembly logic with real objects.

Recently, a colleague improved the thermocouple wiring process, although it is only a detailed adjustment, but can independently find the problem and put forward a plan, which is more than my own growth, more than I am happy. This is “one person breakthrough, all staff accelerate, learn from each other, grow together”!


Q: As a front-line assembler, what do you think of “innovation”?


Liu Yuanyuan: I never think that only new inventions, new ideas and other big actions are called innovation. In the front line, innovation is to maximize every little thing; to make what we didn't pay attention to before, what we couldn't see, to be excellent or even outstanding.

For example, according to the requirements of the production task list, we have changed the length of the wire from “estimation based on experience” to “accurate cutting according to demand”, which can reduce waste and improve work efficiency. To put it simply, we tighten every wire and screw in place, exceeding expectations of care and reliability, and exceeding expectations of colleagues and customers to trust.
